WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
Heh. Howdy folks, Lucy here. I've totally blogjacked P's blog. BWAH HA HA HA HA HA HA! (<~~~~~ that's supposed to be a wicked, evil laugh. no? damn.)

Nah, I didn't ACTUALLY blogjack it, the silly girl gave me ACCESS! Woooo! Party at P's! Party at P's! (no? damn.)

So, since I am EE-tarded, I figured I'd test out the spiff-o-riffic instructions that P sent on how to post on EE (I'm a WP kinda gal), and you know what? Once I figured out how to log in, I found it not very different than WP. I kind of like it in fact.

Now, why do I have access to P's blog? Well, because. I'm cool like that going away with the family this weekend and P is going to guest post at my place and in the fit of giddiness over that prospect, she lost her mind gave me access to post on her blog. You know, so I can guest post here. And stuff.

Okay P, I tested it and made it in to post on your bloggity blog. YAY me!! (and thanks for the instructions. oh and the access. and stuff.)

How Dumb Are You?
Okay. I think it's official. Reporters are dumb.

I watch the news in the morning to get the weather and whatnot. This morning, it's all about the Pope's visit because, well, it's a big deal that the Pope is having Mass here in DC. The reporter was interviewing someone involved in that Mass. Apparently, this woman got to meet the Pope yesterday. The reporter says to her...

"Tell me what that was like."

>___<

Maybe it's just me, but the gut reaction I had to that was:

"Indescribable."

Because, really, for the devout Catholic, actually meeting the Pope would be. Few people get to do that. Actually meet the Pope himself, talk to him. >__<

I didn't hear what the woman actually said because I was doing the morning thing, which took me away from the television, but - WoW. I just felt like the reporter was an idiot.

Hrmm. Perhaps I'm biased, having been raised Catholic, so I know how many would feel about meeting the Pope. Srsly? I would totally be all over that. Meeting the Pope. Yes. We all know I'm a seriously lapsed Catholic. (Really lapsed. >_>) But - still. I will go to Vatican City one day. Just because. It's one of those things that I grew up with. The Pope was the man. Just under God himself. Yes, I am aware he's just a man. Yes, it's probable he does not exactly have the direct line to God, here. But - well. Still.

One of my students is going to the Papal Mass and I'm jealous. I want to go. But - yeah. Lapsed Catholic == no chance in hell of getting a ticket.

I'll watch on TV.

Where was I? Oh yeah.

Dumb reporters. >__<

What do you think, internets?

Yes, yes - Y E S!
The writers' strike is over. Horray. Hallelujah.

No, really.

I am utterly stoked about this, you just don't know. I know I haven't posted much about the writers' strike - I left that to Diz who is way more informed about it. However, I have been utterly fed up with the reality shows and whatnot the networks have been putting on to cover their lack of actual programming. And the loss of favored TV shows as well. Meh. It's been disheartening to look at the TV Guide and see - nothing. Nothing really worth watching. (Though, I'd like to know how come Law & Order, the original, had new shows to offer if everyone was on strike. I'm all confused by this! HELP!)

I'm not sure when new episodes will actually reach my television, but they are coming. Yay. I'm excited.

Diz! The Office! It's coming! (;
