Here's what they were discussing...
That the people who run the election are trying to get as prepared as possible. IE, making sure the voting machines are working, enough people working the elections to make sure the voting goes as quickly as possible, etc.
Why?
Because if Barack Obama doesn't win, they are afraid there will be an outcry that the election was fixed - against him.
Really?
Do we have people in our American Public THAT ignorant? To think that, in 2008, at THIS point in our country's history, we'd fix an election against ANYONE? Much less a black man?
What.
The.
Hell.
I hate this country sometimes.
(Because, even as I typed that, I knew that we did. Dear Goddess.)
I'm moving. Which country wants a new citizen? Because, really, if I can't go vote in an election without having to worry about a riot breaking out due to the outcome....
New prime number! 43,112,609
How the mathematicians even figured this one out, I don't even know, but - to all geeks everywhere - new prime number! :D
Second:
The Redskins won their game versus the Cowboys - in Dallas. What the hell. Who knew? (I'm not even a football fan and I knew they weren't supposed to do that....)
Third:
AGH! Yoshi! Danalyn! HALP! Those stupid nonsense comments are back. What can I do?! )=
Fourth:
Daniel! We need a chat date!
It was a tragic event. Not only did people lose loved ones, an entire country lost the feeling of being safe at home.
I get it.
However.
Can we let go a little bit?
Anyone?
Can the date 11 September go by without tributes and memorials services and whatnot? Without the entire newscast being dedicated to what happened and what's happening now?
Please. PLEASE. Lord have mercy.
Flame me if you want, but I'm so ready for people to grieve without the media telling them to do so. That'd be absolutely fabulous.
Ugh.
Maybe I don't get it. Maybe I just have no patriotism. (Yeah. Sure, I don't.) Maybe it's just because I live in the DC area. I imagine New York is the same.
I just - ugh.
I'm tired of it. Tired of all of it. No, I didn't lose anyone. Is that the problem? I have no sense of loss, so I just don't care?
Who knows. But - it's my blog, and I say ....
ENOUGH ALREADY!
(Wait. Didn't I say this last year.... No, I guess not. I thought I posted about it last year, but no. I looked. (; So, I just must have told someone. Same frustration last year. :/ )
Go on. Flame me. I can take it.
I have a new blog design, as you have seen. Danalyn did it. WDS is my favoritest. Get your designs from WDS. Aren't they fab?! :D
I blame Yoshi for the design. That - and I was hungry. For chinese food. I was! But it's cute! As a blog template. (=
I spent the weekend in BFE New York - the state, not the city. Was in a wedding. In my Renn gear. It was really only hot with the two skirts and in the sun. Once I switched to shorts under the chemise and bodice, it wasn't bad. (= Got to see two friends get married to one another. I've never been to a handfasting. It was really interesting. I liked it. My mother would have a fit if I had one, but I liked it.
I have sunburn. Due to being outside, in the sun, in my Renn gear last weekend and twice this weekend. (Last Sunday, this past Saturday, and today.) I am going to peel on my upper bewbs. Suck.
I don't want to go back to work tomorrow. Remind me never to make a 3 day weekend a 4 day weekend. Makes it all the more ick to go back to work. Just saying.
Crap. I was going to find something for the people who covered my classes for back-to-school night this past Thursday. What should I get? Food? Flowers? Pencils? Ergh. Something.
I think that's it for now. XD
