Wtf?!
Okay, so, I realized - again - why I hate the news. Why? It's scary. Nothing scares me more than the news. Not horror movies, not horror books, not crazy people on the internets. No. The news. The freaking news.

What's causing my rant today? The lovely news from Great Britain. Have you heard about this shit yet?
Check it out.

What the hell is wrong with these people? I do not understand it at all. Sure. Take out your anger and aggression against the US on poor, unsuspecting citizens of Great Britain. Yeah. That makes a shitload of sense. ::sighs:: Yeah, yeah. I get it. The planes were outbound for the US, but still.

I'm supposed to visit someone in Germany in the spring. Now I want to take a cruise ship to get there. Who's with me? We'll just drink the whole way....

The news scares me too. It's the reason I choose not to watch it (sometimes I do, though).

The reason it scares me, more than horror movies, books, etc? Because I know the news is real, horror movies aren't. If I watch the news, see what people are plotting, what people are actually doing to other people, I will walk around in fear all of the time.

That's no way for anyone to live.

Oh Gawd! Why can't we all just get along!

(Yea...writing 'Gawd' was painful.)

Well there have always been pirates in the Carribean...but the modern ones mostly just go for yachts and tourists

As for the news, just look at it as entertainment. You can't do anything about it so it might as well just be a movie. As long as you follow all the common safety guidelines (which everyone should anyway), you'll be fine..

Schadenfreude is the the way of the world...
