I play online video games. (Shush. I like things to die. It satisfies the need to hurt things. You know, after a day of students who just won't stop whining about what they need *me* to do and ignoring what *they* need to be doing.)

School is out because of Christmas and New Year's (and it's a weekend), so all the children are online - playing video games.

I *really* don't need the word "murloc" put into the title of of every movie ever made. I really don't need the discussion of how girls don't play online games again. It wasn't funny the first time, so the 100000th time, it's just - tiring. So....

GET OFF MY GAME! TAKE YOUR IDIOCY ELSEWHERE!

Everyone makes resolutions to start the new year. Well, mostly everyone, I suppose. Even if they don't really mean to do them.

Obviously, mine is to blog way more often. We'll see how it goes. I'm hoping it will go well.

I'd also like to make a resolution to get some more things done around my house. It needs some boxes put away, some papers thrown out, things like that. Oh, and to do laundry on a more regular basis. See, I hate laundry. It's not the putting it in the washer or dryer part. That's fine. It's that I then have to spend 20 or 30 minutes after that - putting it away. So tedious. I'd rather just clean the bathroom for those 20 or 30 minutes. It feels like I actually accomplished something.

Anyway. Those are my resolutions.

So. 2009 is here.

Happy New Year.
And Happy New Blog.

Once more, into the Breach. I am going to again try this 365 days of blogging. Because. Really. I miss my blog. I don't know if my blog misses me. But - that's okay.

I think I might be less frustrated and angry all the time if I actually used my blog for what it was designed. Writing down my thoughts. Holy crap, who would have thunk it.

Anyway.

Happy New Year, blog readers. I hope you had a good New Year's Eve.

Mine wasn't bad. It wasn't exciting. Spent it with a couple friends and the relatives. Lots of spiked egg nog. Champagne for the midnight toast. Still hate champagne. However, they had spiced red wine. I usually detest red wine. This was - good. Don't know what they put in it, but I was able to drink it without gagging. And Mimosas this morning. Which I only had about half a glass of. (That whole Champagne thing.)

Spent the rest of the day just messing around on the intertubes.

What did you do?

(Daniel, I know you worked. You poor thing. I hope your 5 day weekend is FABULOUS! :D )

Two school days left. Two days they should never have made us work. Students are already missing due to family "vacations."
Ugh.
Some of them are here physically, but definitely not mentally.
I've already been asked if there was going to be actual math going on this week.
Really? You had to ask?

I'm cranky already.
Tomorrow will be worse.

So. It follows....

Someone is going to die.

If you read a news story about some teacher who lost her mind and killed students...

Okay, blog.
Here I am.
I suck as a blog author.
We know this.
We've been through this before.

I wish you would send me reminders when I neglect you.
It would help.
Just a small note to say you miss me.
That you wish I would write in you more often.

I wish you would remind me that I need to get my thoughts out of me before I explode.
Just a tiny reminder. Because, maybe, just maybe, I wouldn't take it out on my students.
(Like I did on Friday.)

So, blog. Maybe we can work this out.
