Heh. Howdy folks,
Lucy here. I've totally blogjacked P's blog. BWAH HA HA HA HA HA HA! (<~~~~~ that's supposed to be a wicked, evil laugh. no? damn.)
Nah, I didn't ACTUALLY blogjack it, the silly girl gave me ACCESS! Woooo! Party at P's! Party at P's! (no? damn.)
So, since I am
EE-tarded, I figured I'd test out the spiff-o-riffic instructions that P sent on how to post on
EE (I'm a
WP kinda gal), and you know what? Once I figured out how to log in, I found it not very different than
WP. I kind of like it in fact.
Now, why do I have access to P's blog? Well, because. I'm
cool like that going away with the family this weekend and P is going to guest post at my place and in the fit of giddiness over that prospect, she
lost her mind gave me access to post on her blog. You know, so I can guest post here. And stuff.
Okay P, I tested it and made it in to post on your bloggity blog. YAY me!! (and thanks for the instructions. oh and the access. and stuff.)

The students returned today.
Three classes of 32 honors geometry students. That's 96 students. Only two of which are sophomores. Yes, that's right. 94 freshmen. I am going to lose my mind. I'm certain of it. Yeesh.
I also have a class of 17 Consumer students and 24 Calculus with Application students. Those two - I can't decide. It will depend on the kids in them. It could be fine - or it could be the nightmare of my life. It all depends on whether or not the students
work. Only time will tell.
And - there was shocking news today. I am afraid to blog more because, well, it's just - strange. Strangely shocking. However, if you would like to know - send me an email. We'll chat. (=
Oh. And I'll be in a wedding this weekend. More news to come on that. (;
For now - I'm exhausted. But, I promised
Daniel long ago to never post just 'I'm too damn tired'. So - there you go. A semi-post! XD

Can you stop with the suck, please? :/
That'd be great.
And how sad is it that I don't even feel up to putting the suck of life down on my blog? You know, where it belongs?
I really have to
work on this talking about myself thing.
Anyway.
Stop with the suck. And when I say stop with the suck, it's mostly just one area. I have a good job, a house, a car, everyone in my family is doing okay. I just - meh.
Can I stop doing all the running after people? :/
Could someone run after me for a change?
Thanks. That'd be great.

So, on the radio, there was a story about how states are considering lowering the drinking age from 21 to 18. And. College presidents think it's the best idea since fire. They feel that there will be less binge drinking and fewer accidents and fewer problems.
Right. Because, you know, only the 18-20 year olds binge drink anyway. I didn't go to plenty of parties where people well over 21 were binge drinking until they couldn't even stand to look at certain type of alcohol any more. No, it's only the 18-20 year olds, you know.
Sarcasm? Oh, yes.
As a high school teacher, this scares the shit out of me. If the drinking age is lowered to 18, then it becomes so much easier for all of my high school students to get alcohol. All of them will have that senior friend who is 18 and can buy it legally. The radio show was discussing it and one of them said he didn't think it would get pushed down from college to high school. Um, hello? Right. And then, he said if someone is 15 and wants to drink, they'll find a way. Lower the drinking age to 18 - and the number of ways increase.
Not to mention that this is really what the roads need. People who have just learned how to drive, and statistically have the most accidents anyway, now can drink and drive much more easily. Sign me up for the damn bus. Ugh.
Yes, I know there's the flip side. If you are old enough to serve your country, you should be old enough to drink. Well. You know what? Fine. How about this? You sign up to serve your country, you get a lowered drinking age. I am all for "If I can die for my country, I should be able to drink." Sure. Cool. Anyone with a valid military ID gets a drink. I'm up for that. Anyone else can suck it until they reach 21.
Anyway. Rant for the day. (AMG! Monday Meltdown! This post may change... stay tuned...)

... with your host Paul Baldwin!
Paul still has some conectivitis in his ganikavazoink, so Pandora will have to do. (; (Or whatever Mike Myers actually said. Been a while since I saw it on SNL reruns.)
Anyway. I'm watching TV and the character said something which made me think.
"What makes a child go bad? Nature or nurture?" Now, another character responded "By the time we get involved, it really doesn't matter." (They are police officers.)
My thought was - both. Nature can make a child go bad just like nurture can.
Good kids can go bad because of environment. And bad kids can come from a great environment.
What do y'all think?
