In a particular grove fairly distant from the picnic pavilions, back toward the river but before the highway gets too close, there is a tree. I would be that tree.
This tree grows, as most do, from the ground. But instead of a single trunk, this tree has grown four separate tunks from the same root. The split happens about a foot from the ground, and a between the trunks gives just enough room to squeeze into the space inside.
The "inside" of this tree has seen quite a few secluded romantic moments, if personal experience is representative of a larger pattern.
Yes, that's the tree I would be. I think it leads a more interesting life than most trees, sitting in solitude, overhearing distant animal calls or the occasional rumbling of thunder amidst the seasonal wind, rain, and snow.

Now lets be sensible and work through your suggested meme's
* If you could be a tree, which tree would you be? And why?
I think I'd have to say Oak, and the reason would be they are so long lived and get to experience such a great deal. Imagine living through all those long years and watching the amazing historical events unfold.
* Why do you read the blogs you read?
They're mostly all techy related, and i'm a big techy fan but I sometimes digress into other realms out of interest and for amusement.
* What makes you feel all warm and cozy?
My loving my wife and little boy.
Peace....

...Although Batman has more style, and a much nicer outfit to boot. I have to admit that in spite of all his powers, Superman does look like a pansy.
